Hey everyone. My son and I went out yesterday and here is a pic of our very first finds. The watch was the first hit we had. I must say that now we are both hopelessly addicted to metal detecting!

Great job..I have taken each of my boys with me before(10 and 6yo).I let them use my old machine(Bounty Hunter Pioneer 505).My 6yo tends to have more patience for the hobby even though the machine towers over him.

Thanks! The watch is an Armatron quartz movement. Made of stainless steel. The winder still turns so there is hope it still works, need to replace the battery obviously.

Thanks everyone for your kind replies. Man, what a ride this past month! We borrowed a Garrett 150 to hunt down the stuff posted in the picture and was looking into getting a MD of our own. So 3 weeks ago, I had emergency eye surgery and had a gas bubble placed in my eye to help hold a torn retina in place. I had to hold my head down, looking down at the floor 50 min out of every hour of the day for about a week and a half. Wow what a neck and back ache!! My vision is about 80% now and I'm looking forward to getting back to digging! Just purchased a Whites MXT Pro and we're stoked about trying it out.
