Yesterday's FL Farm Finds
Hello All. Hunted a 19-teens farmhouse for these digs...some were shallow MD's holes but most, like the bottles, ax head, horse shoes, faucet, and door knob, were all from a garbage dump. I have to admit I am becoming addicted to digging dumps out...the horse shoes were the first I haved dug in FL and even though the jars aren't great ones I like findin' 'em.
I am not sure what the plug-like thing is yet. Made by A. Schrader Sons Inc. in Chicago and patented in the US, Austria, Canada, France, Great Britain, Japan, Russia, and Germany starting in the 1900's. Whatever it is they musta thought it was somethin' good. Any ideas?
