Yesterday's trash
I had a few hours this afternoon to search some woods in a park where I found some interesting things last week. The reason i didn't get out earlier was because my wife and I heard that John Schneider was in town and she wanted to meet him. 3 hours on line and she did.It was worth the wait to see the smile on her face when she finally made it back to where i was sitting.
Anyway, last week this site produced some interesting items. A tag of some kind, and an old tire gage with a 1909-1916 patent date and also a lead soldier and another tag with a 1909 date on it. In the few hours i had to search today, there was part of a old thermometer,a ponds jar with the lid intact, several utensils,a chinese cash coin, and some other odds and ends.Near a tree, i got another signal, and uncovered a mason jar lid, only this one was still attached to the bottle which is intact. That ended the metal detecting for the day and for the next half hour, i pulled some more bottles from that hole.I don't know much about bottles. The mason jar is embossed with Atlas, Strong Shoulder,Mason. The smaller milk bottle is embossed with S.P. Rhinesmith's Dairy Midvale, NJ.The others don't have anything significant on them.Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks for looking.MM2
