Hello everybody! I got out for a few hours today, the heat & humidity prevented me from staying longer. When it stops being fun I leave! Anyways, I went back to the 1883 house that I've had a lot of success at in the past. This place has been hunted numerous times by me & friends I've brought along. Needless to say, the easy stuff is long gone. All I found today was iron (minus the brass on the lock, shotgun shells & trash)! The M W & Co lock is really cool, love finding the old locks(too bad it wasn't whole). The axe head is neat, I've never found one bent & busted like this. I wonder what it hit to make this happen? I also (as usual) found some pieces that I cannot immediately ID. I'd appreciate help from you experts out there, its always appreciated. I thought these items were interesting enough to hold onto. I also found the very common iron ring. It's interesting that I am currently in the process of preserving my iron relics & that's all I found today, more work ahead I guess! I learned a great tip from Buckleboy on preserving iron relics with apple cider vinegar and will post my results when complete (I'm hoping the 18thc lock I found last weekend will turn out good) As always thanks for looking & HH!
