Hi all, it's been a while, I hope the roller coaster of life has more ups than downs. I found this piece near a known habitation site, in a stream near where it drains into the Mississippi river. I call this kind of piece a maybe, where I pick it up, throw it back down, and then pick it up again. Guessing just natural, but because of the shape, and that one side, and the edges, seem like there might be pecking...i though I would submit it to the collective oracle of wisdom on here. Lol..don't be afraid to hit me with the club of brutal honest...thanks all!

Was thinking possible hammerstone or hand axe...

I don't have the knowledge or expertise to weild the club of brutal honest but to my untrained eye it appears to be natural

Yeah just a natural rock! Keep looking

I don't see human alteration there but it does have a good shape! A water-worn rock.

Can't tell much from the 3rd and 4th pics but in the first two, looks like the possible broken bit off a crude celt/adze/hoe? Other than that, probably natural as already mentioned.
