wile i was looking at the bannerstones i remember clearly i found a moon shaped banner stone that was so polished that it looked new. i told my buddy i seen somthing like this on the internet. i thought it was a coffe mug handle with a hole in the middle.( my secound arrowhead hunting journey) so i broke it to see if it was clay, nope it was the same color all the way through, but we tossed it to this day i cant find it. i swear to god that i found one broke it and launched it. i should go to heck for that and swearing to god, sorry

That sucks! Reminds me of a little paleo multi-tool I found years ago. I carried it around in my car for years, trying to convince people it was something. Then when I finally got a book, I couldn't find the tool. >:(

I believe you, but I wouldn't tell a whole bunch of people that you broke it and threw it back. No telling how they will react.

I have a friend who owns a large farm, while plowing he spotted an axehead, stopped the tractor and jump off to pick it up.Next to the axehead was a monolithic axe an a bar gorget. He put the gorget in his back pocket and the axe and axehead he left underneath a tree.He then jumped up on the tractor and sit down to finish plowing. When he sat down he broke the gorget in half.He then finished plowing leaving the axe and axehead underneath the tree for over a month!
The monolithic axe is a beautiful piece and is made from ,what he told me,Arkansas granite. He showed it to a few archies and he had to get a court order to keep one of them from pestering him at his home.

Not to appear dumb, but what is a banner stone????? thanks, Tom
