So I've looked around on here and I don't seem to find a lot of detectors who are 17 like me! I guess you could say that I rather go out and have a good day of detecting then go to a party.

The real party starts when you are out in nature, in the now, doing something you love to do!
It doesn't get too much better than that!

I'm 16....... At hart. If you ask my wife!! Anyway. Good for you. Do what you like to do. Not what others expect you to do. I'm really 47 and a lot of people think I'm crazy to be out swinging. ( md). I find it's like fishing. You never know what your gonna find. That's the thrill of the hunt!!! Only started a couple of months ago. Wish I started at your age. Good luck

Good for you. Detecting is a much better hobby than many others i can think of. My 15 yr old grandson loves detecting but he can't drive yet so he usually goes with me.

How many of your friends who are partying can say they found a Colonial Coin or a gold ring or found something from the Civil War Keep at it and all these things will be yours as you grow in this great hobby ok. Think about it. I started when I was 11 years old and I've been detecting for 45 years now and I have done it all literally. I've found gold, I dove on shipwrecks, I've found many great things over the years but the best Treasure I have, and you will to in time, is a Peace of Mind.
