May 12, 2007. About four miles east of Winchester, Virginia. About 4 inches, I wasn't digging anything under 3 inches deep. I will never part with it, it will be given to my daughter.

this 1781 half reale dug at a church in Wilmington De. it was only about an inch down in a grove of trees. i thought it was trash at first until i took a close look at it. its not valuable, only about $20, but it is still my favorite find.
