Some of you guys know that I'm in the process of having a driveway installed up to my barn. The contractor had to remove the topsoil in order to put down a good stone base.
I had about an hour before it got dark so I decided to swing the coil over the excavated soil.
My first signal was a toasted wheat penny. After about an hour, and a few trash targets, I got a sweet, sweet, signal that had the promise of silver. I dug a nice clump out of the piled soil and went to work with the pinpointer. Oh how nice it is to see the unmistakable rim of a Silver coin. She's a little worn but she sure is pretty. A 1919 Mercury Dime. This dime is my 70th Silver Coin this year.
