I was pretty optimistic this week (even though I knew I couldn't top last week's 150 silver keepers!). I had lots of boxes lined up, and everything seemed in place. Man, what a difference a week can make.

Box 5 and my CWR'd halves saved me this week! Man 16/21 skunks really stinks! (No pun intended.) This week really threw off my stats. I've found it's much easier to dump after you find some silver than when you go through a big skunk streak. Oh well. Bad weeks happen to all of us. Still managed right around 5 oz of silver this week.

Still walked away with some good numbers, but yeah, that's a lot of skunks.

I try to look at the averages over the month rather than that specific day or week. I had 3 brinks skunks in a row last week after 2 pretty decent boxes and 1 average box.

Last month : 2.33/40% - 0.66/90% : 0.5862 oz : Skunk Avg 50% (18 boxes )
This month : 2.75/40% - 0.42/90% : 0.5574 oz : Skunk Avg 50% (12 boxes )

I love seeing the numbers.

that 5th box and the cwr's really saved you like you said - so you did manage to find a decent amount of silver. I've had a big diff in boxes & cwr's lately too. All 6 of my half boxes (from 4 diff banks) and all the customer halves I got this week were skunks. No silver halves at all for me yet this month. And I think my finds are only 9 keepers from my last 19 boxes (last 7 boxes were skunks). I've got some halves ordered from some new order banks for next week but I'm not too hopeful but I won't know for sure till I try. Maybe it's time to hit the dimes a little harder. I guess just keep at it and hope for the best - that's all we can do.

For sure, thats how it goes. I had a 22 OZ week then a 2 OZ week. Just luck of the draw (or pallet).

Nice score, glad to see you got something. One week definately makes a huge difference(sometimes).

I have had batches where one box contained many silvers and the next containing nothing too, same bank, same order, same pickup date. You just never know with this hobby, the outcome is 100% unpredictable. The reason I hunt, as well as 90% of others on here.
