A pretty quiet Sunday morning on here. Heading out to hit a couple of sites around 8am... just waiting for the sun to come up here.

I'm cooking up a turkey breast with mini potatoes, orange cauliflower, corn on the cob and home-made gravy for our Thanksgiving dinner tonight.

The rain is still holding off here so far...keeping my fingers crossed since the site I'm planning on detecting has been tilled. It would be a muddy mess in no time if the rain starts pounding it.

Food for thought:
While ago in conversation at the mechanic shop two old farmers were in depth conversation about the hay delays.
This was to do with the wet weather, and the cuts/bales getting rained on.
One fellow (has a 100 stockers in his herd) Said that they'll eat anything when they get hungry enough. I like to pour the gallons of old cooking oil I get from the chip/burger joints over the old bales.
The other fellow said he used a mixture of molasses and that seems to get to eat the old hay.
Makes one wonder what the cooking oil does to the stocker's meat?

Well, vegetable oil is common in cattle feed, (oil, oil cake) so is molasses...
There are brands that advertise using used cooking oil in the mix...
Very common for use with horses!

Thanks for the well wishes. We got together with the mother in law yesterday for Thanksgiving had a very filling lunch. I actually skipped supper and just had a hunk of cheese as a snack.
