Mornin all.

Dogs barked on and off all night at popping deck boards and trees.
Wind shifted and fought back the lake effect snow allowing an area of clearing while It dumped snow elsewhere.

Sub zero F. temps made crystals on the tree tops.
Sun hitting then now has it raining thin feathers of crystal.

Coon report : No coon.
Couple chickadees somewhere near in hearing range. Sounded like a nuthatch near too.

Morning John and RC
Hope your day is going well.

Coon report: moved 100ft towards the shore, hibernation mode now, as it hasn't moved all morning.
Feeling like 5F out there so it shut down.
Tough Critter, should go back and sleep in the old tree.

Well yesterday on our outing we also picked up 2 large cabbages. Just finished slicing up the first one and after coring it, etc....still weighed in at 2 kg or 4.4 lbs. Since I add 2.5% of pickling salt and give it a good massage. Covered it up with a tea towel and will give it a couple more massages to get out the juice and tenderize it for fermenting.

I'll post up a picture once it's in the jar.

You guys get to see first got my second ring of the year not silver or gold but I'm proud of this one been wanting one of these and never thought I'd find one. Hard to get good pictures to give it justice but this ring has a cool face carved into it with a lot of detail surprised it survived as the band is crushed. Was my first signal of the day within 30 seconds of swinging at a property I've gone over countless times.

John,
Good score on the cameo ring....I've yet to find one.
Thanks I've seen people post things with a person's image on it and always wanted to find something like that. Didn't think I'd come across one here in Cali.

Congrats on the Cameo John.
Hard to tell if the right part if the band is folded under the other half by the pictures.
Either way it's a real nice keeper.
Do these help?

Funny thing that will sound silly to most. I cleaned it with my ultrasonic cleaner and upon taking it out of the water I dropped it on it's face and about had a heart attack, thought it was going to destroy it but didn't do anything. Was terrible lol

Ya we know that already because of the party flight to Mexico. :laughing7:
Jim, Well at some point you have to pay the piper. I remember the charter flights to Barbados where people were standing up in the aisles smoking and drinking. Because of the rowdiness they eventually cut the open bar option and I can't blame them.

I remember a charter flight to Barbados where I came out of the washroom at the back of the plane and started talking to the flight attendant. We hit it off pretty good so I kept her company for the 2nd half of the flight. She kept feeding me double shots of hardstuff. She told me any bottle they opened had to be emptied before the flight ended.
Well when the hot air hit me getting off the plane I don't remember the taxi ride to the compound....:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:
