hey guys, quick question: can iron/junk totally block signals of better targets below them? i know its worded wierd. what i mean is lets say theres multiple pieces of iron/nails at 2" and a coin at 5" in the same hole, im wondering if the 350 would only find the nails as if they were blocking the coin at 5". I only ask because ive been hunting a killer cornfield where i found 8 LCs a 2 center, couple indian heads and even a wheatie, but no silver and almost every hole i dig has about 2-3 nails in it.
any help is appreciated, thanks

Yes items that are disc out will hide the goods your looking for beneath them. Its called target Masking. Some $$$ Minelab's can report on good targets under nails and iron trash.

How about the at pro? ive watched vids where people were finding good targets below junk, seems like it can find coins that are below junk. im highly considering the at pro because its in my price range

Garrett has instructional videos on use of 350. One shows using a nickle and a nail to discrim out nail. The nickle did not register where it normally would though after knocking nail out. Normally an item above target can mask it. I have had better results with5x8 dd coil getting between and or catching edges in heavily trashed areas. Maybe check videos to find example of eliminating nail and try it?. Multiple targets get jumpy on scale for me. A silver last year had multiple targets near it,could just get a repeatable high tone hit at right angle on a wiggle of a swing in jewelry mode. H.H.

No the AT PRO can mask out targets because of Iron on top if the Iron is disc out. Most detectors are this way except Minelab's that can report on a gold ring or coin under a piece of iron. But then again they cost $$$ more.
