I'm looking to add a water detector to my stable. I don't want a scuba type as im not a swimmer. I'm leaning towards a whites surf pi dual field or a garrets sea hunter mark 11 any advice. I want to stay below $800. Thanks Don

I love my Dual Field for wet sand hunting and some wading. The big yellow 12" coil covers some ground with each swing. It will have you digging targets at 20" so I recommend a good stout sand scoop like the stealth. The Sand shark is a cheaper option and has a lifetime warranty. I presume you mean salt water hunting only?

Hi Don,
I'm not sure, but isn't the Sea Hunter Mark II for diving as well? AH, I just looked it up, both detectors are!
Best of Luck!

You can also find used cz-20/21 or even the excal in your price range. They have discrimination and can be used in fresh and saltwater.
