That’s normal. Wrap the wire up the shaft. Make sure it’s not to tight (just so that it doesn’t flap) or it could pull the wire out of the coil.

I do similar to Perses but use electrical tape. I go straight up the back of the lower shaft and start wrapping the coil wire around from there up. I change coils by changing lower shafts and it makes it easier as well. Keeps the coil wire out of briars etc and helps on false signals when you bump it.:icon_thumleft:
