Nice! I'm getting discouraged by the volume on this machine, for some reason it's too low!

If it can't be solved by switching up the headphones as was previously suggested, then it's an issue from the factory. These things do happen on rare occasion. It's just like anything else, once in a while there's unfortunately a faulty component. I have never heard of anyone with this same issue. Have you contacted the company to see what they have to say?

The volume on mine is low also but use ear phones and it's fine also change brand if batteries volume when up I use lithium batteries

The park in old Mesilla is from late 1800 other parks are from 1900 , it's old park of a necklace I thing and stone was a pink sapphire I using my machine at all metal at 70 sen came at as foil

This machine should always be used with headphones to be able to catch the lightest of signals which will 2 tone by a masking of trash or an iron object in close proximity of the good signal.Also if you are hunting with a partner it will keep you attentive to your machine not listening to the other even though you think you are not.

Yeah that's still odd to me as mine is pretty loud without the headphones. The only time I ever had any issues was at the beach one time with high winds and waves crashing. I'm sure it's frustrating and I hope you can get it resolved.

The sound coming out the external speaker on the t2 se I just got Is not real loud but I can hear it just fine. I don't have an issue with this as I've always used headphones on all of the machines that I've used throughout the years. As Zebco posted, you may miss out on some good stuff if you don't use them! Oh yeah, your batteries will last longer too!

Thanks Mr.B! I started using headphones and got some pretty good finds the past couple of days. I guess it bothered me cause my buddy's G2 and my old Delta are pretty loud without headphones. Here's my catch of the past week...

Its official, this damn MD is not working... The speaker went out after the headphones failed...i used the headphones a handful of times and less the T2. I knew from the first time i turned it on that something was wrong with the speaker! Gonna try and send it back!

I had a feeling it was a factory issue. Hopefully you get that baby fixed up and purring like a kitten . Good luck

Yeah Jim but for some reason my headphones stopped working and when i unplugged the the speaker on the T2 stopped working. I knew there was something wrong with the speaker from the start but wasn't sure till today

Send it back! If you haven't done this already, go on the Teknetics web site and register your machine for the 5 yr. warranty. Oh yeah, by the way, cool finds!
