1 hour's worth!..new site..

Found a new site today,gonna try and research it later.Look's awesome,old chimney and foundation,well,small stone house with what to seem's to be stall's attatched.Maybe an old blacksmith's site!Didn't bring the camera so I'll try and get pic's of the site soon.Anyway here's maybe not even an hour's worth of digging today.Need some help IDing the ringed item's.other three are small buckle's along with a square nail and a piece of farm implement of some kind.

Can anyone tell me why the bottom bit has "tang's" on it and where it would be placed on the horse's head.Not a horse person,but I love em......HH

the bottom tangs are to attach a harness/halter that goes over the horses head if i member correctlly or a strap that runs down to the horses chest harness that allows it to not stray and keep its eyes and head in semi fixed feild so it doesnt wander. horses follow there eyes.....
