Something I've been avoiding for ages :laughing7: I got my first Cartwheel penny :hello2: It's not pretty but it's a cartwheel and it still counts......right Iron Patch? :laughing7: :laughing7: :laughing7:

Unfortunately the Farthing is in even worse condition, but the date is still there :-\

I think my favourite find though was a nice early livery button with a unicorn design and most of the silver still on it.

Did I mention the cartwheel? :laughing9:

By the Way... I'm not so sure that's a Livery button, at least not the typical type. It's engraved and looks to be solid silver?

Too bad the Farthing is so bad but probably expected.

What was the bet actually? :laughing7:

The button's not solid silver, but does have a thick plate on it. I just thought it was a livery because of the line under the unicorn. Cru did say it was earlier than normal livery buttons :-\

the 'buckle' is half of a small Medieval swivel

I still agree it looks 18th C Livery :icon_thumright: Problem is, from memory its the only one like it I have seen :hello2:

PS. Starting to think it looks like some of those badly drawn 18th C animals. Maybe its a Sheep & connected to the wool trade (still a Livery)
