Nice find!! Always fun to find a buckle...slight correct - those are arrow hooks on the back, not puppy paws. A little newer plate than one with puppy paws...still a great CW relic.

Congratulations!! My first one came in 2010 after 6 LONG years of relic hunting...i was really starting to think it would never happen. The emotion i felt on that first one is something ill never forget thats for sure! Now that you have that monkey off of your back, the next one will probably come a little easier.
If you are like me you will be grinning ear to ear trying to fall asleep Be proud of that sweet US plate man! WTG!

A great find, I cant believe how many buckles you blokes find, there is nothing like it down here.
I want to raise something with buckle finders, but will do so elsewhere so as not to take the gloss of this great day of yours!

Congrats on your first plate. There's nothing like the feeling of pulling one out of the ground and realizing what it is. Best of luck for more great finds in that area and maybe even a SECOND one.
