    President Washington's first Army Uniform Button, "Wayne's Legion."

    Wayne's Legion was the first Army raised by our first President, George Washington.

    It was raised to protect the settlers on the Frontier of our new Country.

    They are normally found in so-so condition, but this one is a beauty!!

    It's probably close to pewter but looks to have a high concentration of Lead than the normal pewter buttons.
