The temperature spiked up so I headed into town to some vacant lots the city cleared. It's very heavy iron and can slaw infested ground and hard to hunt. I set the detector to discriminate everything but silver and hope for the best. I got a 1943 Walker half dollar. It's my 4th Walker in my detecting career. One of my favorite coins. I also got a wicked looking ornate drawer pull. Thinking it could be a fairly modern reproduction but unsure. Looks old but then again not.:icon_scratch: Hope everyone has a treasure filled year! 100_18551_zpsuwkeptaw.JPG 100_18511_zpswfdxhoys.JPG 100_18501_zpsihm6ipqv.JPG 100_18641_zpssjj16tlu (2).JPG 100_18611_zps0u4lc8hk.JPG 100_18661_zpsc6nsftyf.JPG 100_18671_zpsoi8o2tsu.JPG 100_18681_zpseyjpjhji.JPG 100_18691_zpsrttttufr.JPG

Nice Finds ! I never tire of seeing the Walker - not sure why you think the drawer pull is a more modern piece. If I had to guess I would think later 19th century (80's ,90's)

Thanks, I didn't see a lot of wear in the metal but since I cleaned it up some, I'm seeing more signs of age.

Congrats on the walker half! I've only managed to find one so far. I still hear that high tone in my dreams!
