I haven’t posted my finds for about three weeks. This is what I found three weekends ago.
  • A 14k Gold Jogging Charm
  • 14k Gold ID Bracelet chain (1/2 of the chain part only, with clasp)
  • 14k Gold child’s ID Bracelet
  • 14k HGE (Heavy Gold Electroplate) Ring with a huge ruby looking stone sounded by what has to be fake diamonds.

Two weekend ago I found a 9 gram unmarked Gold bangle bracelet, textured and angle cut in a diamond pattern, with red oxide dots spaced along the edge. I found it in Compton CA. and it was eyeballed just as my coil was about to pass over it. One of my better finds if I say so myself.

I only stopped hunt to hunt the place because I saw a tractor parked on a soccer field with a scrapping set-up. I thought the field was in the process of being scrapped. But after a closer look, I noticed it looked more like a detaching operation.

And this pass weekend found a 14k Gold loupe earring with diamond looking stones. I also found a large women’s Gold ring marked 10k CZ, it has what must be a cluster of CZ stones on it.

HH and Good Luck.

Re: Three weekends with a total of 9 hours, 6 Gold and 1 HGE Ring.

I should have said that the bangle bracelet weights 9 dwt,
not 9 grams, 10 dwt is a ½ ounce troy. When I picked it up it was the color of the soil, tan. And it is 8 ½” around. After a little dab of spit to test a spot, its true color was reviled.

Yes Ratman, I said Compton CA. The earring came from there too.

The reason I didn’t post pictures was that I started to feel unappreciated. I said to myself, why should take all that time to post photos that most don't appreciate. Thus, the lack of photos, but if you want stinking photos, here you go.

Do you have Appreciation for Ant’s photos and finds? If so, I’ll go back to my old posting format. Let Ant know.

Ant,
First off, "CONGRATS" on the great jewelry finds. That ring w/ruby in the first picture is a BEAUTY!!! The others are fantastic too.
Second, sorry to hear you felt unappreciated. I don't know why, you always have some of the best finds on TN. Keep up the great hunts.
And third, "Heck YES we want photos!" Pictures really add to any post.
Again, great job Big Guy!!!

Congrats on the nice looking gold . It was a simple question Ant . I was not the only person that asked for pics . Is that to much to ask for ? And why would you feel unappreciated and then single out only me ? Is it because maybe we both live in So.Cal ? Maybe I've hunted some of the parks in Compton before and that's why I asked . Simple questions simple answers . Again congrats on the gold .

Hey again thanks everybody. I'm not signaling you out Ratman, you're the only one who asked me about Compton.

The "stinking picture" remark was a spoof from the Sands of the Sierra Madera and Blazing Saddles (we don’t need any stinking badges/photos). I was just kidding about that, but not about my feelings.

Are you one of the guys that I've seen and gotten reports about detecting over at Gonzalez Park? You seem cool to me, it’s all good in SoCal.

Kirk I'll answer via PM and thanks for your concern.
