silver nugget

found this silver looking nugget in the mountains today. it got a solid 39 on the minelab safari. could it really be a silver nugget? if so how can it be tested at home. i tried the peroxide test and it did in fact bubble. i know new jersey had a few silver mines...

I found one of those before!!! I don't wanna burst your bubble but I'm pretty sure it's a melted aluminum can , some one had a fire out there and threw the can in. Unless I'm wrong and we both have silver nuggets lol

i thought about the can thing, but this is up in a mountain area with no visible fire pits, in a grassy field. i guess the only way to test it is a silver acid test.

Compare its weight to a piece of aluminum very close to the same size [preferably a piece of melted can] because cans are pure or close to pure aluminum. Silver is 3 times heavier than aluminum so very easy to see the weight difference.
