  1. More World War I Relics

Here are some more things I found today from an old army camp in use during the Mexican Revolution/World War I. Two .30-06 casings, one from 1908 and the other from 1913, a 3rd 30-06 is at the left, and is from WW2. Also found two .45 casings from 1913 and 1915, an intact .45 bullet, and an...
  2. ✅ SOLVED Military Button ID - Army, Navy & Foreign

These are some old buttons my grandfather collected a long time ago. I dont know where any of them came from, although I suspect at least some of them he found here in Arizona and New Mexico, where he used to do a lot of bottle digging and stuff. He also had a few metal detectors, which had to...
  3. ✅ SOLVED Projectile Point Identification

A few years ago, while visiting with some friends in rural Cochise County, AZ, we checked out this old abandoned farmhouse and scattered in the front yard was somebody's little collection of relics, including these arrowheads, pottery sherds, a 1938 date nail (not seen in photos) and the two...

  5. Bandito Treasure & Some Date Nails

Found these date nails today and some other interesting stuff at the same place, right alongside a rural ranch road in southern Pima County, AZ. Anyway, there is a barbed wire fence running alongside the road, and in this wash they were using some old railroad ties for strong, sturdy fence...

  7. Snake Season is coming!

Just wanted to share this photo of a big rattlesnake trapped in an old well, about 20 feet down. I was standing right next to the well, extracting a date nail from an old railroad tie, when I looked down and saw this. When the rains come in a few weeks, these monsters will be all over the place.
  8. ✅ SOLVED World War I Relics

Here are some relics from WW1 era army camps. I was wondering if anybody recognizes any of the metal stuff. The large thing is a part of a pair of army binoculars I think, and the piece at the bottom is a chunk of led found at an old army firing range from the 1910s. The little porcelain dog and...
  9. Indian Relics From Construction Site

Found these the other day in a construction site near my home, where there are soon to be a bunch of more houses. They have already excavated these sites and will be building over them. Inevitably, artifacts like these are left behind to be destroyed by modern construction.
  10. ✅ SOLVED Old Miner's First Aid Kit

This is an old miner's first aid kit from the Mine Safety Appliances Company. Its the kind that would hang on the wall in a mine. I found it in the local garbage dump when I was a kid, and have had it ever since. I think its from the 1930s or so. There are not dates on any of the paper stuff...

These are my date nails, the ones in the box are from the railroads: Southern Pacific, El Paso & Southwestern and possibly one or two others, but Im not sure. As you all can see, I have different varieties, so I wanted to know if this means anything. If certain railroads used certain types of...

  18. ✅ SOLVED Wild West Rifle Casing

Found this on an Arizona ranch that goes back to the 1860s/1870s. Can anyone identify it? There is no headstamp and no primer cup, or whatever that thing in the middle is. Its all solid, with a small dent in the center from the firing pin.
  19. ✅ SOLVED World War II / Korean War Era Relics

This is some stuff from an old Army/Airforce firing range from the 1940s and 1950s. Does anyone recognize what any of this stuff is? I found all of this stuff in an area where the Army was training men to use the 20 mm anti-aircraft gun (cannon), as Ive found a fired 20 mm shell and several...
  20. ✅ SOLVED Wild West Shotgun Shell or Rifle Casing???

Hello everyone. Today I have this old casing, which to me looks like its an all brass shotgun shell or possible a rifle casing. I have no idea. There are no markings on it, which tells me its early, and it was found along the edge of a small wash out in the desert near Tucson, Arizona. If anyone...
