Just wanted to share this photo of a big rattlesnake trapped in an old well, about 20 feet down. I was standing right next to the well, extracting a date nail from an old railroad tie, when I looked down and saw this. When the rains come in a few weeks, these monsters will be all over the place.

Found these the other day in a construction site near my home, where there are soon to be a bunch of more houses. They have already excavated these sites and will be building over them. Inevitably, artifacts like these are left behind to be destroyed by modern construction.

Found this on an Arizona ranch that goes back to the 1860s/1870s. Can anyone identify it? There is no headstamp and no primer cup, or whatever that thing in the middle is. Its all solid, with a small dent in the center from the firing pin.
