Tried out my dads Royal Sabre today. I learned metal detecting on an AT Pro, and I was interested in trying 80s technology. Had on the 8" concentric coil and took it too a pretty hunted out park (my opinion anyway).

First find was a rusty iron spoon, second was a lockplate i think, with a piece of chain attached (neither pictured here). Picked out a clad quarter and couple pennies.

THEN, in the same hole, I dug these two aluminum president tokens by Charms Candy. If anyone can put a date on these (im thinking the 1940s), Id appreciate it. My google fu isnt working so hot today.

I used to have a Royal Saber in the mid 80's. My first find was a Merc.

Very good finds, and two of them! Congratulations, great start!
