11-17-09 Uniface Knife

Hunted 2 hrs yesterday and 2 hrs today. Would this uniface knife be paleo or not? The snapped piece bottom center was found close by. I feel like a squirrel stocking up on the study pieces for winter.

In general, assuming everything hasn't become muddled by ploughing or deflation, the points date the tools. Looks, from here, like Terminal Archaic (Broadpoint era) through early Woodland (Meadowood).

Unfortunately, square knives seem to have been made, at least off-&-on, all down through time, with the most beautifully made of them dating from the Archaic and Woodland eras.

It could be a paleo uniface flake tool, I've got some paleo examples with similar flaking. I'll post a couple later after I take some pics.
