Found a couple more oldies yesterday with that nice break in the weather. The 1867 IH was just a blip of a signal one way and deep I think on edge. Missed it the first time so glad I dug it bc it cleaned up nice. The 1889 Indian cleaned up pretty good too. Two 1905 dog tags love finding them. Couple other doodads. The T-shaped thing has wood in both ends, I was wondering if it was part of a cane handle? Thanks for looking, HH, Griff

Excellent IH's pg. Love that '67, she's a crisp one! Congrats on the old dog tags, too. Columbia Township, MI? And how does one know they are dog tags, because of the date? :dontknow:

Thanks Anne, yeah I'm in Columbia township...actually found a 1900 and a 1904 in my yard which are the earliest on record for this township. Um yeah, I guess that's how they are identifiable though, by the date (although not all of them have that), but they usually have the township and a registered number. These still have the loops that would attach to an old dog collar too...
