It's amazing how far technology has come that you can take a picture of the moon and show such details. Mind blowing.

Detector(s) used
Nokta FoRs Gold, a Gold Cube, 2 Keene Sluices and Lord only knows how many pans....not to mention a load of other gear my wife still doesn't know about!
Primary Interest:
Prospecting
Outstanding!! 8-)

Biggest issue with a Moon shot can be focus...and you pretty much nailed
it. That's probably about the best your current camera can do...and that's
sayin' somethin'!!

Didn't adjust anything, but reducing it by about 50% means you can view
the large size and be able to still see it in focus. You can do this in PAINT.
Check box top left says "resize", click it, then insert 50 in the little box,
then hit save.

It's colder than a well diggers patootie outside, but I may just have
to drag my gear out tonight. We have clear skies (for once) and a
full Moon. Actually, images of a 1/2 Moon come out better as it's not
so bright the light blows out the focus on the craters.

Well thanks Dizzy!
This camera has manual settings including manual focus that I used for that shot. Last night was 40 degrees! I was still wearing shorts... but...:laughing7:
