I went out on Sunday with some buddies to an old park I've been hunting for 35 years. They had never been there before. We hunted for a few hours and other than some wheaties, didn't find much. One the way out I thought I would check a small hill I hadn't hunted before. Out pops a silver Roosie. Next target was a silver ring. I called over Diggin Dude and he started detecting there also. He pulled up a 1949 Washington. I really had to leave and dug a 1916 Merc before I left. We had only spent about 15 minutes there and I knew there was more.

Went back yesterday and the silver started popping out of the ground. Ended up with 2 silver Rooses, 6 Mercs and 4 silver Washingtons. A 12 silver day! It's been a while since I've had that many silvers in one day. Back 30-35 years ago it wasn't unheard of in this park. It's a really big park. I lean towards going after the old stuff, LC's, colonials and the like, but I'll hunt a place every day if it's pulling this kind of silver. Years ago I hit my best pocket dump at this park which was 17 coins including Barber dimes, quarters, SLQ's, Indians and the last coin out of the hole was a Barber half. Needless to say, I still love this old park.

Hard to believe so many silvers left after 35 years. Like you I'd prefer older, but would not turn down a dozen silver of any vintage. Congrats.
For the record my personal best silver coin day was 7
