Too cool not to post ---- hit up a thrift at the jersey shore and picked up these spectacles for $5.00 figuring they were victorian and gold filled. When i got to a restaurant fir lunch i took them out for a closer inspection and saw they were marked "solid white gold" in a few places. Tested today and sure enough 14k except for the steel screws. Nice filigree handle too. 19.3 grams. Nez pince anyone? ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1499787072.588845.jpg ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1499787086.916156.jpg

Now that is a nice score! My local thrift sells all goldfilled-looking frames at $12.99 a pair!
