A hammered English silver and a 16th century one at that It also appears to have been bent like what they call love tokens over in England. My buddy dug this Elizabeth I half Groat while we were detecting a site in Cape May New Jersey a few years back. Sorry the photos are upside down!

Yours is definitely one of a handful dug here on these shores. It's definitely more banner worthy than his! Congratulations!
