I found this Maine Militia Button at an old home site in mid coast Maine. Does anyone know when it was made? Very little info on this style.
Thanks.. 6607EC00-E426-4377-B7D9-F078B97A61D5.jpeg

Looks like you Button is a Maine Militia 1 Piece listed in Albert's Button Book as a ME-4-B. Maine did not become a State til 1820. But is listed as Maine Mililia 1 Piece A 12-pointed Star with 17 stars encircling on a lined field. b/m should be Treble Gilt/London.

Thank you for the info. It does say treble gilt London in the back. Was wondering what year this one was made.

It fits 1820-1840 era, so i would think around that time period
