Well I got permission to hunt a CW battlesite in Arkansas on Sat. we detected about 2 hours I plan on returning in Oct. my Shadow X5 and my XLT worked perfect in the soil there.
Heres some of the relics I also have a bucket filled with iron relics too
the reale looks like its a 2 reale from the lima peru mint its 1784,
got some rosettes, a silver thimble,3 eagle buttons, flat buttons and other cool relics! hh all jd

Hey JD. Congrats on some fantastic finds. I think I would definately spend a lot more time there. I think there is a lot more there than civil war....Great finds...Lance
 

Nice civil war stuff J.D. You lucked out to be hunting a spot like the one your at. It seems it's getting rarer to hunt these spots any more with all the building up of the land. I bet a soldier carried that reale as a good luck peice. I have seen them found by guys at similar locations.

That's some really nice stuff that needs it's own seperate and labled display cases of it all after your done with the site.

I would not mind doing some detecting in northwest Arkansas....my 3 X Great-Grandfather was killed at the Battle Of Pea Ridge (according to family tradition).

Maybe someday....
 

we will be going vback for a week of digging that spot in Oct. will post more then!
