Got out with some buddies today on some old NJ farms. First hole was a giant copper. Wasn’t sure what it was or if there was going to be any detail. Finally rubbed enough dirt off to see some and I though I saw Lady Britannia at first but once I corrected the position a bit I saw the liberty cap! It’s 1794 and the edge has “one hundred for a dollar” going to be hard to dig an earlier US coin than this! Awesome!!! Congrats!!!

Great coin ! Geez, you might as well just throw your Indian Head back, so I can come out there and dig it !

Something your not likely to EVER see in Oregon. Great find greg, that must have been an adrenalin rush.

Great early US copper find! Found my first one last winter and I was shocked how big it was!!

Sounds like you're on a nice early site, there must be more!!!

Awesome large cent!

Nice finds and especially the 1794 Liberty Cap Large Cent! Got any pics of the Reverse you can post? One would hope that it has the Starred Reverse but if it was, you would have already post pics of the Reverse!

Will get pics soon. I can just barely see the ribbon and the fraction bar. Perhaps you would have a keener eye!
