Today Civil, Howard, Sam, Scott and myself hit the old homestead
that I found the Hibernia Half penny at.

Sam got a unreadable Large cent, a '34 wheatie, and his first harmonica
reed.

Scott found a lot of odds and end, but this was his first hunt out of
his yard and he is still learning his machine. We all know what that
is like!

I think everybody had a good time, but, as usual, Civil and I were left
to finish out the day by ourselves. We were cleaning up!!

I came away with an 1807 Draped bust Large Cent. I found a buffalo
nickel 1925, a wheatie 1930, and a silver quarter 1935 all in the same
hole!!! It was hard to walk away from that hole!!! Then I found another
1930 wheatie down the hill. Also I found a silver thimble, and 4 tombac(?)
buttons. One of them has silver plating on the front.

Can't wait to hit it again, but I have a gold hunting trip to california this next
week...........wish me luck!!!

Thanks for looking. Dig well!!!

Dude,
You are on a roll !!! That LC is fantastic. :o
I can't believe all the neat stuff you guys are pulling up from that spot.
Good luck on the Calif gold hunt. What area are you headed to out there?
-MM-

Thanks MM. I am flying into San Francisco, headed towards Jamestown and then......
Let the gold lead the way from there. That's what I did last year, and it paid off
pretty well.

Ty, Outstanding hunt ! Man that 1807 large cent has got plenty of detail showing. I'd stick to that location

like glue till there was'nt a lowly wheatie left. All the best ! Gregory, Santa Fe.

Thanks, Gregory! That is the plan. The owner is really nice, and he get's such a kick out of the fact that we
can find things out of that area. He was even writing down some of the finds, so he could sdd them to his story
he tells about the place. I hope to give him plenty of things to talk about!!!

You, of all people, know what it takes to find that many keepers! I pulled 16 shotgun shells
out the last 2 hours. Civil and I had to empty our pouches more than once just to make room
for the next load. There were so many firsts for me I could keep track.
