1858 3c piece found in breast works

Hi All! Relic Nut, another friend & I took trip this past w/e back to place he found the 6# c-ball. This is the 3c piece I found in trench no more than 15' from where he found c-ball. THis place has been hunted hard in the past but is still producing! Some other bullets shown are from nearby union encampment. Thks for looking, Ray

Let me explain. Damnails was not with us weekend before. After I found the c ball we dug evey deep and junk signal we got in the trench. We found lots of junk/wire/nails. He rechecked one of our holes and got a good signal that turned out to be this coin. I hate to admit this but one of us made a rookie mistake and did not recheck our hole. He found more wire in the bottom of the hole. I think the coin was deep and brought up while digging the junk. This was a mistake that should not have happened but it did. Bad for us but good for Dnails. Everyone should learn a lesson from our mistake. It was probably me, I was a "little" screwed up after the Cannonball (imagine that) . Anyway, like I said...... Making Memory's. Thanks for not shaming us Dnails.

I always recheck where R Nut digs...so much dirt thrown out, looks like post hole digger powered by a v8 engine!!!
