Carausius !!!

Yesterday's session didn't really produce much. It did though give up this copper coin of Carausius 287-293. Pleased because his coins, don't come up a lot, certainly not for me. Wonder if cru dad, would be kind enough to id for me. Robert.

The Reverse is Jupiter walking Left holding Thunderbolt in right and Sceptre in left hands

No Sears example but like RIC Vol V Pt II page 531 No 816 – at the time classed R2

R2 was the same ratity as my banner coin, only 15 or so known at the time of publish. However, in this case, the hoard of something like 25,000 of these may have changed that a lot.

Just realised I put to many '0' s, it was a hoard of about 25000.
