Been a while since i've posted anything and that's because this was my first hunt in a week and a half. I found a place in a very old park where the city had been cutting brush and went straight for it. Wanted to make sure i was first to hunt there. I got there not long after the city left. Found an 1865 penny about 4 inches down. That indian penny has probibly been sitting there since before Custer was killed at the little bighorn. Well about 5 minutes later i dug a jumpy signal an found a pull tab. When i went to fill in this hole i found a baby ring sitting in the soil i just removed from that hole. Finished out with a 1918 penny. When i got home and looked at the ring, the righting inside said "ONE" 6-22-63. This ring is gold but has no purity or K mark. It is gold. Gold and silver were not required to have marks till 1915 so i am thinking it means 1863.
