I hit a new spot tonight that I have been waiting to hit. House had been torn down years ago and they have kept the lot mowed ever since. Met with the owner who talked my head off but gave up some good information. I only ended up with maybe a 1/2 hour to swing and started in the original front yard. Only made a few passes and it got dark on me. I am planning on covering it more tomorrow and hopefully post some more finds. The house dates back at least in the 1850's and I am pretty sure this has never been detected before. I need to finish cleaning the IHP, it appears to be in great condition as I can see the liberty on the head. There is also a picture of two pieces of leather with an old rivet holding them together. What would this be from
