Nice tag!
That should be worth a few bucks. Pre 1900 tags are very desirable.

Pre-1900 dog tax tags definitely have some value. Get in touch with the author of U.S. Dog License Tags and Related Exonumia. He can help you with an estimate, or maybe even an offer:

Re: pre 1900 dog license Value

**Can you tell the date on the oval Buffalo dog tag?

ONe thing I forgot to mention is that tags from Territory dog tax tags will bring in TOP TOP dollar. If it is a rare tag, in good condition, and the state is printed on it, you may be looking at a top worth of $500. Of course that is the extreme condition, But any state territory tag will have more value than others
Territory tags exist from MN, AZ, OK.

Arizona became a state on valentines day 1912 so all pre 1900 tags are territories from there.... The most common one from that state is the 1899 Jerome tag which there are 18 known tags. Estimated worth nowadays is $40-$60
