Real tough hunting a demolition site in Florida sugar sand without my pin pointer that I accidentally broke two days ago.
Got some odds and ends was hoping for an old coin or two.
The cameo brooch would have been nice shame the front is destroyed the little garter clip has a patent date of December 98.

Very nice finds for a site that no longer exists! :laughing7:
This piece is very interesting, looks like it has some writing on it? :icon_scratch:

pretty nice finds considering no pinpointer. It's amazing what we miss when it's gone.

You just have to get up and down a little more! At least, you didn't let that stop you. Congrats!

Thanks.. I got pretty good and just grabbing the shaft and swinging the coil over the hole without getting up again.. sometimes I just had to stand up and check the whole area again though.. The loose sand can make you nuts with little objects.
I hunted that way for a long time it's surprising how alien it felt

Ha.. Yeah I have about 5 different scoops I live pretty much right by the beach ... I probably should have brought one but there's a lot of roots

mixed in so it turns into just something extra to carry most times.
It's a good suggestion though thank you.
I've used one before and had good luck with it I should probably try it again just waiting for my pointer to come back

Thanks man I spent years without one you sure get spoiled quickly having one at least I did it makes for much neater and smaller holes/ plugs in my case especially when I get permission on people's property

When I ask permission to hunt private property I usually strike a deal where as I tell if I find any gold it's yours, anything else I keep. .lol

I play that part on the fly I like to get a feel for the people and leave it up to them what type of things they are interested in.. I love when I can hunt places where several generations grew up it's nice to be able to hand them a part of their own history
