My oldest CRH penny ever 1909. 4 canada. 844grams copper. 8 wheats. A lot different than yesterdays 2488 zinc. Sometimes they have good boxes at the BofA close to my house and sometimes the second closest BofA. Some weeks they switch the good penny location.

LLuckyyou! i found a 1909 on my FIRST penny hunt. i slept over at my cousins house and he had a big giant bag of coins. i sorted out the pennies and ended up with over 4 dollars in copper, a 1900 IH and a 1909 cent. i told him I found a rare coin out of excitment and he made me give him the rare coin back... so i kept the IH and gave him the 1909 ( it was in horrid condition anyways)

Awesome!!!

I'd be careful with scotch tape on those 2x2's. I don't think the adhesive has the same archival characteristics as the rest of the materials! Just my two wheat cents:-). I'd hate to see anything get damaged down the road! I am an artist in addition to a CRH and I used the wrong tape (scotch) on a few of my early drawings...let's just say it ruined the piece after a relatively short amount of time!

Great find though...I'm still waiting for my first 1909! That's what keeps me searching!

Well the reason I asked was because the VDB is pretty small and I wanted to zoom on the reverse to look for it. But can't tell with the coin in the holder. I missed seeing it on my first 1909 until recently.

Nice find, I have found a few 1909s too. Need to go through my wheat penny jar and find them later.
