I finally electrocuted this item and found out it was a badge. It is a 1926 Chauffeur badge. I hit this with my detector and threw it in my junk pouch as I thought it was just a hunk of iron. I noticed some letters poking through and put it through some electrolysis. I am sure glad I did.

These next two items has had a few suggestions as what it may be. It was dug near an 1800 battle site. I am still researching them.

A Rail Coin. Possible a Quarter. :dontknow:

We think this is a lipstick tube.

An old Fanta bottle. A iron ring type item was under this bottle in a hole. What are the chances? lol Lastly a 1938 Rail plate. Thanks for looking everyone.

WTG on your digs. I would slap that Chauffeur medallion on your car and you're good to go!

i realize this is an old thread, but i'm hoping you could help me...

i recently acquired a 1926 Oregon Chauffeur Badge at a yard sale, it's not in great condition though. has a hole through it (too small i think to be a bullet hole...) and no pin on the back. i was wondering what the value of one of these badges would be? i realize mine is not in good shape, and i don't want to sell it anyway--i'm just curious :)

thanks! emily
