I have hit several sites in the last week or so . Most have been hunted by others in the past but people always miss something. I hunted an old school that has been closed since 1961 .The playground has been picked clean but I found one area on the side of the school that had a few things including a small female class ring from 1927. It may be white gold but I am sure it is probably silver. It says GHS 27 on the front and has the initials E.S.H. on the inside. I am sure the owner is past on but maybe she still has family around so I will have to do some research on the ring. I also hit an old park and an old home that was loaded with trash but I found a few coins . I found a 1939 Mercury dime and a couple war nickles at the park and I found a 63 rosie dime and a large token from 1961 at the old home site. I also found a couple of buffalo nickles with no dates. The token was a nice surprise being that I don't find many . It was 35 degrees this morning and prime hunting time is getting less and less so hope the weather holds out for a little longer. Thanks for looking and HH.

Great story if you find the family of the lady that owned the ring!

Great find also.

Goodluck on the research and let us know if you have any luck!

Way cool finds Birdman.

I like that Custer token. I have an 1867-1967 50c Centennial token from my hometown's celebration back then. Mine's uncirculated though. My mom saved it for me and it was kept in a 2x2 holder the whole time. I keep it with a picture of her and I next to a time capsule before it was buried by the high school in 1967. That class ring is awesome too!!!

The GHS stands for Glenburn high School and they closed long ago so I am going to have a rough time finding the class of 27. :-\
