Your best bet is to get what is known as the Red Book. It is a book of coin values. I think Whitman is who makes it.

The Red book, as mentioned above, is a very good source of coin information. If you have a coin dealer in your area check and see if they carry "Numismatic News". It is a weekly newspaper. The first issue of each month includes a coin price guide insert which is handy for checking current prices. link http://www.numismaticnews.net/
