The rim above the crack is rolled up very high. No rim at the opposite side.

Geez. ........The rim above the crack is rolled up very high. No rim at the opposite side.

I'm going to guess that maybe it was struck by a tilted hammer die?
The reverse looks fairly even all the way around. So the anvil die which is stationary, stays in position while the hammer die (obverse in this case) can tilt some.
