I believe 14K were introduced in the 1930's. Before that 15k were common. It's a very nice find.

Thanks for the info .
After thinking about it ,a mother must have given to older child /young adult
because of its size.Cant get my pinky thru it.
But it is heavy. Must have been a special event.
