Around 1 this afternoon, I thought I would stop by my local branch where I do most of my banking. I usually do not stop in there for coins as I do not want any bad relations with them. But I figured since I had nothing else to do, I would go in anyway. I bought all the dimes the teller had ($315) and 5 rolls of halves. As she was getting the coins, I peaked over at her tray and I saw a nice dirty Franklin. When the transaction was over, I asked if I could buy the dirty coin in her tray. I'm so glad I did because I fulfilled two of my 2013 goals already: 1st teller tray find and 1 Pre 64 Half. I won't let this carrot dangle too long with the other dimes and halves, but I already know I scored some 40%s in the half rolls. I was smiling the entire drive home. :headbang::headbang::headbang:

Well over all it was a good hunt. Got 5 40%s out of the 5 rolls. And my dad bought the skunks off of me for his poker games so no dumping to do! I wish all coin roll hunts didn't involve a dump. Out of the $315 in dimes, I got a 52 and a 64. Also some foreign. As far as uploading the image, I am having a hard time trying to get a quality picture unlike my pictures in the past. I scanned the coins on my printer but I cannot upload the pdf file. What do you guys do as far as posting pictures?

Sorry, .PDF is a document format and .JPEG is a compressed picture format, so that won't work.

Personally I take pics either with my phone or if I want a high quality pic with a better digital camera. The scanner is a nice way to do it, so to make a scan that you can upload you should look in your scanner program for the option to <Scan to file> and select either the file type .JPEG or .TIF (or .TIFF).

What the iPhone does is open the PDF and let you save an image of the document as a JPEG. There are some programs that let you do this on a PC, and in the past I have used a freeware program to extract the JPEG from the PDF. Sorry to get so geeky but I get paid to do it. Hehe

Just take the pictures with a regular camera and upload them to your computer. Take a picture of the foreign too.

010213.jpg Here's the pic. Sorry it took so long to post. I figured out that I could save a scan as a jpeg file on my scanner. Thanks for the advice FloridaFinder!

That scan looks great, and congratulations on the Ben Franklin half!! It took me over 80 some boxes to find my first Ben. I'm glad you found one so quick!
