I forgot to respond about the possible dates for the button... I'm sorry. :tard:

Like Crusader stated.... that button design was first produced in 1902.

The company that produced these buttons (Steele and Johnson Manufacturing Company) started in 1851.

An company abstract tells us during World War I the produced goods for the army and the government. So that's prolly the best bet for aging them. WW I era buttons.

Thats awesome thanks! Kind of strange that I found 3 identical buttons scattered, each about 40-50 yards apart.

Easy there boys, don't want him coming after you all 'hammer and tongs' now :D :wink: Nice Great Seal buttons bud. They are probably from the 40s-50s but can be as early as stated above, as 1902
