I agree-the top button is a tombac. Not sure about the smaller one but that is a very interesting one. Were they both found in the same area?

Nice tombac, my favorite kind of flat button. Wonder how it got chipped like that. Interesting windmill design on the other one.:thumbsup:

These buttons were found approximately 10 to 12 feet apart not far from a dried-up Creek bed that is on some property that has a log cabin nearby that was established in the early eighteen-hundreds.

These buttons were found approximately 10 to 12 feet apart not far from a dried-up Creek bed that is on some property that has a log cabin nearby that was established in the early eighteen-hundreds.
The tombac is circa 1780-1820, & the other windmill one is circa 1900.
